Three Apps To Get You Fit This Summer!

Image
With summer fast approaching, and I for one have definitely not achieved my body goals! We all have our own summer body goals, but often finding the motivation to actually achieve that lacks! That's why I'm here to talk about and review three different apps which I have been testing out for the past week! Moves   The first and probably main app of them all is called Moves. This app I actually found one day while browsing through facebook and noticed that they had a little connect icon for Moves in their side menu. So what exactly is Moves? Well, Move is quite the generic free application for fitness, but it essentially works in the background to monitor your step count, the routes you've taken, active time, calories burnt, all of this in a simple to view and understand display.  You can use this to track how your active times weigh up to your not so active times. It also allows you to set exactly where you are at any given time, so if you are at

7th Heaven Hair Masques Review!

Hair. The one thing that can go either oh so wrong or oh so right. But let's be real for a second, how often does yours actually go right? Hardly right? or is that just me? Anyway, we all need to look around and find some of those killer products to boost the luxuriousness of having soft and silky smooth hair. Well, that's where I come in. I'm going to be reviewing three of the 7th Heaven hair masques! Pulped Papaya Rescue Masque The first masque I thought we would have a look into is the Pulped Papaya Rescue Masque. Now like most of 7th Heaven's product range, these are a small sachet which retails for £1, so it already before even starting has a good point to its name with that. This masque, of course, is made from papaya, but also contains pulped avocado and pulped coconut which the combo sounds extremely nourishing for your hair. The steps are simple to follow, wash, apply, relax and rinse. These hair masques all recommend a 1-5 minute waiting period

Stand With Manchester

Image
As many of you may or may not know, Manchester Arena was bombed last night during an Ariana Grande concert, killing 22 people and harming many more. I just wanted to pledge my absolute heartbreak for those families and friends of those who lost their lives. Losing someone close to you is such a difficult thing to have to go through, and just know that you're not alone, you have thousands of people standing behind you. I also just wanted to mention upon hearing of this attack and the aftermath of it, we must remember that the attack was a horrible experience for all of those involved, however, we must not let this tear us apart as a community. Let us not turn on those who are Muslim, it is not their doing. Terrorism has no religion! So please, if you see anyone using this as an excuse to bad mouth any Muslims near you, please put them in their place. Let us grieve for those who have been lost last night, and pray for those who are fighting for their lives because of this, but a

#UseYourVoice - Political Toolkit

Image
Politics is such an incriminating word in today's society. When you hear the word politics, what is the first thing to comes to mind? corruption? lies? Either way, with a snap election short coming, it is of the up most importance that we all come together and have our say in who runs our country. I was lucky enough to be able to be a part in the #UseYourVoice event on the 15th, being a part of the panel and also being a part of the video put together to outline some of the issues surrounding why young people don't use their vote. It is estimated that around less than 50% of young people (aged 18-24) voted in the last general election in 2015. Now think of how many voices and opinions have been ignored because of this. In the panel event we discussed a lot of issues which may cause the young people of today to disconnect so much from politics, and I for one, being a young person myself can agree with these. One of the main repetitive factors that came up was the languag

My Depression Story - Mental Health Awareness Week 2017

Image
To this day, I am still not 100% sure what triggered my depression (if anything), but what I do know is that it is there with me all the time. In lieu of it being Mental Health Awareness week this week, I felt like I would write up a little about my own personal experiences living with a mental health issue so this may not be the same experiences that every other person has. My earliest memory which links to my depression came when I was in my primary school age, so not even turning 13. I was experiencing a lot of bullying surrounding my sexuality and it always managed to get the better of me. One day I was in my sister's room and was on her bed, I was really feeling upset and alone at the time and went and hide under the covers where I tried to strangle myself so it could all end. As you can tell it didn't get very far as I am still here to talk about it now. Skip ahead a few years, so I went to high school and was doing reasonably well academically, but again the bu

7th Heaven Coconut Protein Rescue Masque Review!

Image
Hello again! So I wanted to begin my "first official" post to be surrounding something beauty! Seeing as this is something I am incredibly passionate about! So I was lucky enough to receive an amazing care package from the people at 7th Heaven a while back with tonnes of amazing products in, from their face masks, hair masks and spa range! I never used to use any form of conditioner on my hair, so I was more of a shampoo and done kinda guy! But then I decided, since I had these masks sitting there to give it a go! It was really simple and easy to apply and use, and there is definitely enough product in the packet (though I have shorter hair). I tried to make the most out of every bit of product whilst I was in the shower to get the absolute most from this! The steps to follow when using the Coconut Protein Rescue Masque are to go about your normal routine, so shampoo your hair and then apply the masque, like a conditioner, through your hair and let it sit for 1-5 m
